At Carleton Veterinary Services and Lanark Veterinary Clinic we are extremely proud of our involvement in the community and the monies we have raised for very worthwhile causes. The following are charities and not-for-profits where we have invested our time, fund-raising, money and resources.
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, CIBC Run for the Cure Walk
Every fall we tie up our laces, join our community and raise funds for this very important cause.In fall 2010, we proudly raised $40,000. We’ll be back at this fall on October 11, 2011. Ask at one of our clinics how you can get involved to help us meet this year’s pledge target.

Established by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) in 2001, the Farley Foundation (a registered assists seniors and disabled persons on limited incomes with the necessary treatment of their pets. In 2007, the Foundation expanded its criteria to assist the pets of women at risk of abuse (and their children) who are participating in OVMA’s SafePet Program.
On Saturday, September 10, 2011, Carleton Veterinary Services and Lanark Veterinary Clinic will be participating in Farley’s annual Ride for Farley event during which veterinarians and veterinary health professionals cycle to raise funds and awareness for the Farley Foundation. Ask us how you can contribute to help the life of a pet in need.
Located in the far west end of Ottawa, Bruce Pit offers local dog owners several acres of forested land with dozens of trails throughout. Carleton Veterinary Services sponsors this park and also provides needed dog waste bags to help ensure the park stays clean for all to use.
Lower Reach Park is a meeting place for dog owners and provides ample room for dogs to run and enjoy the outdoors. Waste disposal bags are provided at the park, courtesy of Lanark Veterinary Clinic.
