Carleton Veterinary Services provides canine rehabilitation services for dogs located throughout the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario. Our dog rehabilitation is based on the same rehabilitation practices used on humans. It combines manual techniques, acupuncture, laser treatments and exercises to help your dog increase its mobility and reduce pain. Your dog may require canine rehab services due to injury, pain, joint dysfunction, surgery, or degenerative diseases such as arthritis.

Our newly expanded rehabilitation services include an underwater treadmill, laser therapy, exercise area and home mobility aids.

Wheelchairs for Dogs

If your dog is unable to walk or support itself, Carleton Veterinary Services may recommend a canine wheelchair to help your dog become mobile again. Canine wheelchairs are for dogs that have suffered spinal injuries, broken or amputated legs or suffered from an illness that has left them with limited use of their legs.

Dogs come in many different shapes and sizes, so each chair needs to be custom fit for each dog. Our veterinarian will measure your pet for the proper wheelchair and recommend the right aluminium frame, types of wheels and harness that will best work for your dog.
