Where heart and medicine come together for the benefit of pets, their people, and our community.

Annie, our Head Veterinary Technician for Carleton Veterinary Services

This clinic is in North Gower, south of the Ottawa capital, and originally opened in 2002.

The clinic has gone through many medical advancements in the years since the new building was finished.  Digital x-ray (installed in 2010) allows us to quickly take an x-ray, have the veterinarian review it and form a plan.  We can easily send these images to any veterinarian, anywhere in the world.  Digital dental x-ray (installed in 2012) gives our veterinarians the ability to effectively diagnose and treat all stages of periodontal disease, even under the gum line, in cats and dogs.  A full in-clinic laboratory (updated in 2016) gives our skilled veterinary technicians the ability to run blood work, fecals, urinalysis, and microscopic examinations of any sample so that we can have results quickly, and the ability to help your pet efficiently. Most recently, in 2018, the veterinary hospital added a veterinary ultrasound system.

Annie TPR CatIn 2010 our underwater treadmill was installed to add to the rehabilitation program of our Orthopedic Package. This treadmill is one of three in Ontario and is not only used for our rehabilitation program but also for our Certified Canine Physiotherapist who works with canines for various reasons both medical and professional. Also in 2010, we added a phototherapy unit to our orthopedic package which decreases pain and swelling for our post surgical patients during their recovery.

On July 27, 2015, Dr. Haerishton Lima and his wife Vera Lima, purchased Carleton Veterinary Services. Dr. Lima had moved from Brazil where he worked as a Veterinarian in 2007, to come to Canada to work as a Technician. In 2013 Dr. Lima successfully obtained his Veterinarian License with lots of hard work and the support of his family.
